“The deciding factor in choosing Newmeadow for my children was the presence of integrated classrooms. Integration has had many positive effects on the behavior and actions of my children. They are patient with others and friendly, and not hesitant to approach someone they don’t know and say hello. In integrated classrooms, children are able to see that there are others who learn differently from them, which makes them more open to anyone who is from a different walk of life. When young children are taught tolerance and acceptance, they can be content with how they treat others, which can be internally rewarding.
Both of my children have made significant progress at Newmeadow, thanks to the focus and dedication of the teachers. My son used to struggle with telling stories because his mind would get ahead of him, until his teacher, Melissa, worked one-on-one with him to improve his communication. My daughter has made strides in her social skills since starting school. My daughter’s teachers, Renee and Dominique, have helped her learn to express herself and communicate her needs. The teachers at Newmeadow are attuned to the needs of every student.
The communication between Newmeadow and us as parents has been very healthy. We are always aware of what is happening in the classroom. The staff is consistently warm and welcoming.
I would recommend Newmeadow to any family looking for a nursery school for their child.”

“My son attends preschool at Newmeadow in Queensbury. His teacher, Shelly, is so attentive and caring, and reaches out regularly with any concerns or updates she has. I cannot tell you what a relief it is for a mother of a child with developmental delays to know that he is so well cared for during his time there, and to have a teacher and supporting staff who truly understand what his challenges are. I would certainly recommend Newmeadow to other parents facing those same challenges.”
